Terms of Hire
When booking Nile Lodge you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions of hire as you are entering a contract.
A non-refundable booking deposit of 20% is required to secure a reservation. A confirmation of booking will be issued upon receipt of deposit.
The balance of the rental is payable seven weeks prior to arrival. If the balance is not received by this date the management reserves the right to cancel the booking.
Breakage loss and Damage
In the unlikely event of breakage or damage to Nile Lodge property it will be the guests responsibility to reimburse Nile Lodge. Booking a stay in Nile Lodge constitutes your agreement to pay any reasonable costs due to breakage and damages.
Eight weeks before date of arrival, no refund of any rental or booking charges is available on or after this date.
Arrival and departure
Accommodation will be available from 4pm on the stated date of arrival, unless discussed otherwise, and must be vacated by 12pm on the day of departure, unless discussed otherwise. If these times do not suit you please get in touch, we will be happy to try to accommodate you if we can.
Number of persons and party policy
Nile Lodge normally accommodates 6 people in the upstairs section of the house. There is an additional room downstairs that can be made available at an additional cost. This must be arranged prior to your stay. One of the rooms upstairs and the additional room downstairs are both available as a twin or double (super-king upstairs, large double downstairs).
The number of persons stated when booking must not be exceeded without prior permission, in advance. An additional charge per person/room is applied.
We strictly do not allow any parties or events on the property where non residents are attending without explicit written prior permission. We regret that this is due to insurance issues.
We love to welcome your four-legged friends, given prior notice. Given that the house is furnished with fine antiques we ask that only well behaved dogs enter the property. We will aim to look after your furry friends as best we can. We will need information about the size of your dogs in order to accommodate them with a bed that suits (small, medium, large). There will be a €40 (euros) charge per dog per night. An additional damage deposit of €500 (euros) is required, to cover against potential damages by your pet. Please note if damages exceed this amount then this will be chargeable to your card.
There are parts of the house and certain bedrooms that we will not be able to have dogs, to allow for other guests allergies. We also ask that dogs are not left in the main house unaccompanied. Dog sitting and walking available by prior arrangement.
If you wish to bring a pet a pet terms and conditions form will be sent for you to sign at the time of reservation.
Quality bed linen and towels are provided.
Neither the owner nor their employees can accept liability for any personal injury, loss or damage.
Private Clinic on the Grounds
A small, private, family Doctor's clinic occupies part of the lower ground floor of the house. This has a separate entrance and is sectioned off from the main rental accommodation. Guests are very welcome to book in to see the Doctor upon request and will be given priority whenever possible. It is weekend only medical private medical practice called Weekend Doc.
