Directions

Nile Lodge is located at the junction of Father Griffin Road and Lower Salthill Road, in Galway City. The area is also known as Nile Lodge locally (named after the house).The following directions are from nearing Galway or Salthill (depending on which direction you are coming from).

From the North, East and South of Ireland

  • Follow the signs for Galway City.

  • When close to Galway city, follow the signs for the docks  (this is well signposted and has a little picture of a boat on it).

  • From the docks follow the signs for Salthill.

  • Road takes sharp right turn after the docks and then veers left and becomes Father Griffin Road.

  • Head over the River Corrib, passing through two sets of traffic lights, until you see a sign for Lower Salthill, where you will make a right hand turn at a Y junction.

  • Continue to the end of the road.

  • Turn right (Maxol Garage will be to your right).

  • Nile Lodge is the second entrance on the left. You will see a sign for Nile Lodge in front of the house and the written on the gate posts. There is a sharp turn into the driveway so drive slowly.

From the West

  • Follow signs to Galway until there are signs for Salthill

  • Follow signs for Salthill. Pass through Salthill and turn left at the roundabout towards Lower Salthill.

  • After approximately a 4 minute drive there will be a Maxol Garage on your right, Nile Lodge House is the second house opposite the garage on your left hand side.

You can park outside the front door.
